I started my career in advertising, I saw the burnout in women before the word burnout even existed. After working in talent acquisition within the advertising sector for 7 years, I moved into people & culture partnering within the technology sector. Here I witnessed how global tech firms could make life changing decisions, redundancies within 24 hours, and the psychological impacts these decisions had on individuals at all levels. During my maternity leave, I decided to leave the industry and complete my Postgraduate Certificate Career Development and Counselling, Queensland University of Technology, to create a service that provided qualified career guidance.
Aline was built on the concept of life design, that career and wellbeing are intrinsic, however, you can not progress in you career without action. For those feeling overwhelmed, discouraged or displaced, action feels hard to make. My approach is to to provide tailored information to help you make one good decision at a time, using tools that have actually been validated.
Every session is delivered personally, not handed to a chatbot or provided in a coaching template. The assessments are debriefed with you in real time, and the goals you set are realistic and pragmatic. I am with you every step of the way, through the Aline membership portal, so you feel supported in your journey.
Aline Career counselling is grounded in Mark Savickas' Career Construction Theory and the concept of life design. Our framework is the Australian Blueprint for Career Development, endorsed by the Career Industry Council of Australia and backed by the Australian Department of Education.
Where a conversation surfaces wellbeing concerns beyond the scope of career counselling, you'll be supported with a referral to general practice or mental health services, as the Code of Ethics requires.
