Some information you provide, such as responses to wellbeing or burnout assessments, may be considered sensitive information under the Privacy Act. We only collect this information with your consent, and only where it is reasonably necessary to deliver career counselling services to you.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it to third parties for marketing purposes.

We may disclose your information where you have given us consent, where we are required or authorised by law, or where there is a serious and imminent threat to your life, health or safety, or that of another person. Where a wellbeing concern falls outside the scope of career counselling, we will discuss a referral with you first wherever it is safe and practicable to do so.

Your information is stored using reputable service providers that host data securely on our behalf. Where a provider stores data outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protections apply.

6. Storage and security

Your information is stored in access-controlled, encrypted systems. Access is limited to your practitioner. Enquiry and intake information submitted through this website is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in our secure client records system; it is not publicly accessible.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

7. Retention

We retain client records for seven years from your last session, consistent with professional practice standards. After that period, records are securely destroyed or de-identified.

8. Accessing and correcting your information

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable period, normally within 30 days.

9. Cookies and website analytics

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Any analytics we use are limited to aggregate, non-identifying information about how the site is used.

10. Complaints

If you believe we have breached your privacy, contact us in the first instance and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
